1. Legalize the weed. Hit the drug cartels in the pockets. Divert the mexican shwag bud leakage from our circular model to legitimate cash crops in mexico, drive demand back across the border.

2. Defend said border with troops trying to save a sinking balsa wood boat in the middle east with elmers glue and tooth picks. Let the people who don't seem to appreciate democracy fight for it themselves if they want it.

3. Make welfare workers take the low paying jobs created by the illegals returning home and give them free education to learn a trade. Our own poor people are the only ones who suffer (if we stopped paying them to sit home). You have to admit you know someone who is not really handicapped or unemployable that collects free money and food... be honest.

Many problems solved? Unless I am missing something...

How long does welfare last? It's a pittance too if I remember the stories right.

Welfare is a pittance -- not that it's a good system as is.

The real action is *corporate welfare* where billions and trillions are spent on bailouts, tax loopholes and incentives and market supports, useless weapons systems, and other pork.

yeah, my ex wife. We have 50/50 legal and physical custody of the kids and I STILL have to pay her and yet she can afford to spoil them ( buy them every movie and video game that comes out, I can't even treat them to a movie they haven't already seen )because her husband makes bank.

Me? I've never taken a dime of assistance for anything. I'm not knocking anyone that has, personally I think we're too wealthy a society to let people starve. I've never understood unemployment either, I've always been able to find a job.
